Reliance Jio is offering 10GB additional data to be selected smartphone users. A report claims that Mukesh Ambani-led telecom operator is offering Android users connected to its network additional data of up to 10GB as part of its celebration that marks the completion of two years in India.

As part of Jio Celebration Offer, Jio users are reportedly getting 10GB additional data credited to their Jio 4G members. Reliance Jio embarked in its wireless mobile services in September 2016 & in the last past two years, the company changed the shape of India’s telecom sector. The introduction of its 4G-only network with cheap data plans driven a country into one of the fastest growing data consumption countries in the world.


In order to celebrate the milestone, Reliance Jio is said for offering 10GB additional data to all its users. This 10GB data is distributed into 2GB data per day for the next five days. At the time of writing, Jio users in the BGR India team did not see additional data credited to their account. There is a possibility that additional data is offered to users at a different phase in order to contain the data capacity.

How you can check if you have received free 10GB data from Reliance Jio

Step 1: In order to check additional data & data used during the day, download the MyJio app from Google Play Store.

Step 2: Open the app and log in by inputting your Jio number. The service will automatically authenticate the number & will allow you to check the details of your tariff plan.

Step 3: Once authenticated, Jio users can click on the menu icon and tap on ‘My Plans’ option. Inside this menu, you will see "Jio Celebration Pack" marked as Add-on offering.

How the Add-on data works on Jio network

The name implies, Jio Celebration Pack is being given as an add-on plan & it can be used once you consume the free data already available as part of your existing plan. On normal plan, once you exhausted your daily limit, Jio will cap the data speed but with add-on pack, you can continue using the high-speed data. There are reports of users getting the plan until October 31, 2018.
